PRE-KINDERGARTEN  ROUND-UP 2021-2022 

Enrollment is NOT guaranteed, please have other arrangements in place if your child is not accepted.

ABOUT ELIGIBILITY: A child is eligible for enrollment in free prekindergarten if he or she is four years of age by Sept. 1, and also meets at least one of the following criteria: 

• unable to speak or comprehend the English language; 

• educationally disadvantaged (www.ezmealapp.com) online only apply after July 1, 2021

• homeless 

• the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or the reserves, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority 

• the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or the reserves, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty 

• is or ever has been in foster care.

• Be the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as a peace officer, firefighter, or emergency medical first responder.

Registering: Parents will have the opportunity to register their child for the 2021-2022 school year on August 2, 2021  (times to be determined). To register for pre-kindergarten, please  bring the following information: 

• child’s official birth certificate (can be obtained through http://www.texas.gov)

• child’s immunization records

• child’s Social Security card

• legal papers (from a divorce or separation)

• proof of residency, (i.e., complete lease agreement, current mortgage statement  or a utility bill-water, gas, electricity bill accepted only dated July or August 2021)

• photo identification of parent or guardian who is registering the child.

• proof of income

School Day:     7:50 am – 3:30 pm    (Café opens at 7:15 am for breakfast)
